❗Important info❗ A new federal law, called the Corporate Transparency Act, will impact many small business owners starting January 1, 2024. This new law requires businesses with less than 20 employees and $5 million for less in gross receipts to report on their Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI). Failure to comply comes with steep penalties. Since this is a business law, not a tax law, TBCo cannot provide counsel or assist with compliance in any way. We can, however, provide awareness so that you can prepare accordingly. We cover what you need to know in our latest blog post.

'Tis the season for charitable giving! With the holidays and #GivingTuesday upon us, this is the time of year when many charities launch big giving campaigns and donors tend to give more generously. Giving can also be a powerful tax strategy. Charitable contributions can potentially lower your tax bracket under certain circumstances. In order for your donation to be tax-deductible, contributions must be made before the end of your tax year and meet certain requirements. The specific impact on your tax bracket will depend on various factors, including the amount of your contributions, your overall income level, and the applicable tax laws and regulations. To fully understand how to leverage charitable contributions to optimize your tax savings, consulting with a tax professional or CPA is recommended. #tbcocpa #charitablegiving2023 #taxtips2023
