Grundfos Pumps Corp. has secured a five-year lease extension on its Olathe facility, home of its 58,000-square-foot North American operations located at 17100 W. 118th St.

Progress on the new Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center continues to move forward as the Olathe City Council approved the terms under which the 200-room 175,000-square-foot hotel and conference center will be constructed at the City Council meeting earlier this week. The project is still on track for an early 2014 ground breaking and a late 2015 opening.

Letko Cycles has relocated from Shawnee into the former Esther Williams Pools building, a 7,200-square-foot retail building located off of I-35 and Mur-Len at 12535 S. Rogers Road.

Interior Surface Enterprises has moved into a 10,000 square-foot industrial building located in South Olathe Business Park along 161st St, west of US-169/K-7 at 19970 W. 161st St.

Technics2000 has expanded with the acquisition of the former 9,724-square-foot interior Surface building in Rosehill Business Park, 870 N. Jan Mar, which is situated immediately adjacent to Technics2000’s 25,693-square-foot building at 874 N. Jan Mar.

As part of its nearly $360 million investment in its Missouri and Kansas wireless and wired networks so far this year, AT&T has completed several key network projects in the Kansas City area. These projects, which are part of the company’s Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan announced last fall to expand and enhance its IP broadband networks, build on the more than $875 million AT&T has invested in its wireless and wired networks in Kansas City from 2009 through 2012.

Johnson County Community College’s new president, Joe Sopcich, will deliver his first State of the College presentation at 1 p.m. on Sept. 12 in the Polsky Theatre of the Carlsen Center at JCCC.
