Olathe Chamber to present Business Lunch Series event focused on Bioscience

OLATHE, Kan., August 22, 2013 – The Olathe Chamber of Commerce will present the third event in its 2013 Business Lunch Series, “Bioscience,” Friday, September 6. The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kansas State University Olathe, 22201 W. Innovation Dr., and will feature a panel discussion focused on some of the continual efforts and progress made throughout Olathe and the region that make Kansas the most desirable state for bioscience research, development and commercialization.

Panelists include Dr. Wayne Carter, CEO of the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute; Dr. Nick Franano, president and CEO at Novita Therapeutics; Dr. Roy Jensen, director of the University of Kansas Cancer Center; and Angela Kreps, president of KansasBio. The luncheon will be moderated by Kim Young, vice president, bioscience development, for the Kansas City Area Development Council. 

Sponsored by Johnson County Community College, K-State Olathe and McCownGordon Construction, this lunch is the third in a series of four the Chamber hosts throughout the year. The last luncheon in the series, to be held in late 2013, will focus on regionalism.
