Prema Arasu named new CEO/Vice Provost at K-State Olathe

Kansas State University Provost and Senior Vice President April Mason has announced that Dr. Prema Arasu has been selected as the new CEO/Vice Provost at Kansas State University Olathe. "Our Olathe campus serves as the front door of the university to Kansas City and the Animal Health Corridor and our graduate education," said April Mason, Kansas State University provost and senior vice president. "With Prema Arasu leading the effort, we look forward to delivering on the tremendous potential of this campus."

Arasu comes to the position from Washington State University, where she has been serving as the Vice Provost/Associate Vice President for International Programs and professor of parasititology. Prior to her position at Washington State, Arasu was the Associate Vice Provost for International Academics and Director of the Global Health Initiative at North Carolina State University.

I am very pleased to be joining Kansas State University and the team at the Olathe campus. It provides a great opportunity for us to collectively expand the strong foundations and enrich the relationships which have already been established," said Arasu.

She will begin her position at K-State Olathe October 1.
