Event Description: JCCC will host two presentations of the "Barefoot Spirit" by the founders of Barefoot Wine. The Barefoot Spirit is the story about how Barefoot Cellers was started in the laundry room of a farmhouse by a couple with no money or knowledge of the wine industry. In this presentation, the founders Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey will share how determination, networking and listening skills helped them build a brand and sell it to the largest wine company in the world. They will tell their story twice: • 11 a.m. to noon in the Hudson Auditorium of the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and • 6 to 7 p.m. in the Culinary Theatre of the Hospitality and Culinary Academy The programs are free and open to the public, and will be followed by 30 minutes of networking and book-signing. The first 50 attendees will receive a free copy of their book, “The Barefoot Spirit: How Hardship, Hustle, and Heart Built America’s #1 Wine Brand.” No registration required.
