The 2011 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, featuring Dr. Jeff DeGraffenreid, Olathe fire chief, will be held Friday, Nov. 18, from 6:30 to 8 a.m. at the American Legion Post, 410 E. Dennis Ave. DeGraffenreid, who is both fire chief and director of the City’s Emergency Management, has traveled the world, working on major disasters. He serves on the editorial board for the International Fire Service Journal of Leadership and Management and hold undergraduate and master’s degrees from MidAmerica Nazarene University. He earned a doctorate from Saint Louis University.
