The After School Judo Academy will be hosting the first annual ASJA Judo for Juvenile Diabetes Junior Championships. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Kansas City Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 1st at the After School Judo Academy, 15320 S. Cornice St., Olathe, KS 66062. This tournament will be sanctioned by USA Judo, and will consist of Junior Judo players 16 years
old and younger. Weigh-ins will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and the matches will begin at 12:00 pm.
The After School Judo Academy is committed to stomping out juvenile diabetes with our programs that are designed to promote health and fitness in our kids. Through donations, like the ones raised from the ASJA Judo for Juvenile Diabetes Junior Championships, the JDRF is able to spend almost as much money on type 1 diabetes research as the National Institutes of Health. Researchers are closer than ever to finding a cure for diabetes, which affects more than 24 million Americans,
including more than 15,000 children which are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes each year.
Come out and help us fight for the cure of Juvenile Diabetes.
