are exploring this opportunity in order to continue the quality, patient-focused cardiac care provided to the communities served by

Center
, while also establishing the best position for future growth.

Both hospitals report significant enthusiasm for this vision of a joint venture, but both acknowledge many issues need to be thoroughly explored in order to reach an agreement.
Discussions on this concept could last until the end of the year.
After this announcement, it is the intent of both hospitals not to comment on the status of negotiations until the talks are concluded.
