JAMES O. DELANEY IS NAMED CHAIRMAN OF THE BUILDERS’ ASSOCIATION |

Kansas City, MO (February 2009) – James O. Delaney has been named 2009 Chairman of the Board of The Builders’ Association. He has been a member of the Association’s Executive Board since 2005. He succeeds Michael J. Hayes, President of Hayes Drilling, Inc., who remains an officer of the Association.
Mr. Delaney is Vice President of Operations of Turner Construction Company’s Kansas City office. Turner Construction is a commercial general contractor providing construction management, program management, and design-build services from offices throughout the United States. He has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy (now known as Missouri University of Science and Technology) in Rolla.
Other officers include Rory O’Connor (OnGoal, LLC), Vice Chairman; Jeff R. Riesberg, P.E. (Ceco Concrete Construction), Assistant Chairman; James W. Carson (Carson-Mitchell, Inc.), Assistant Chairman; and Jerry D. Daugherty (Reinhardt Construction Company), Assistant Chairman.
Directors on The Builders’ Association board include Robert P. Daly, Jr. (Kaw Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc.); Earl Washam (E&K of Kansas City, Inc.); Robin Sawyer (Skyline Construction Company, Inc.); Phillip W. Thomas (A.L. Huber general contractor); J. Brett Gordon (McCownGordon Construction, L.L.C.); Scott Kelly (Taylor Kelly); Gregory A. Dunn (Dun-Par Engineered Form Company); Daniel A. Euston (JE Dunn Construction Company); and Arthur Tanner (Tinmaster,
Inc.).
Don Greenwell is President of The Builders’ Association, which serves the commercial construction industry. The Association represents more than 1,100 general contractor, subcontractor and supplier members employing over 35,000 people. It has offices and plan rooms in Kansas City, Jefferson City, Columbia, and Springfield, as well as its Education and Training Center in North Kansas City. The Builders’ Association was established in 1887.
