our mission

what we're all about

Life Journey Foundation works with the local community to provide opportunities and services to assist individuals and families with personal, professional, and spiritual growth.

our history

where we started

Life Journey Foundation was established in 2021 and serves people living in the community of Olathe. After learning more about the most pressing needs within our community, through conversations with other social service organizations and those who are in need, Life Journey identified homelessness and respite care as the two priority areas of focus.

respite care for families

Life Journey partners with Faith Journey Church of the Nazarene and provides a monthly respite night for families with children 2 years old through 5th grade. Kid's Night Out includes a meal and offers a rich volunteer/child ratio. Children have the opportunity to participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities while their parents enjoy an evening out! Everyone is welcome, including foster families and those who may have limited resources. Though donations are welcome, there is no charge for this program. Registration is required.

resources and relationships for those facing homelessness

In collaboration with Mission Southside, Community Care serves individuals and families who are struggling with homelessness or are at-risk of becoming homeless and centers on developing authentic relationships that extend beyond just meeting the most immediate needs and providing resources.
