Olathe Chamber of Commerce to present Business Lunch Series event focused on Entrepreneurship

OLATHE, Kan., Jan. 28, 2014 – The Olathe Chamber of Commerce will present the first event in its 2014 Business Lunch Series, “Entrepreneurship & Start-Up,” Wednesday, Feb. 12. The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ball Conference Center, 21350 W. 153rd St., and will feature a panel discussion focused on helping entrepreneurs and start-up companies thrive in Olathe and the Kansas City region. 

Leading the discussion will be a panel of experts, including George Hansen, president and CEO, Enterprise Center of Johnson County; Michele Markey, vice president, Kauffman FastTrac; and Greg Panichello, state director, Kansas Small Business Development Center. Panel members will address questions from the audience on resources available to start-up companies, what makes the Kansas City community one where entrepreneurship thrives and more. Duane Cantrell, president and CEO, Kansas Bioscience Authority, will serve as moderator for the discussion.

Sponsored by Applied Measurement Professionals, McCownGordon Construction and Pepsi Beverages Company, this lunch is the first in a series of four the Chamber hosts throughout the year. Future luncheon dates include Fridays, May 23, Sept. 5 and Nov. 14.
