Drummond appointed to fill JCCC board vacancy

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Robert Drummond has been appointed to fill the vacancy on the board of trustees at Johnson County Community College.
 
Drummond, Olathe, president/CEO of Kids TLC and a former JCCC trustee from 2009 to 2013, will complete the term of Melody Rayl, who resigned from the board in July. The term expires June 30, 2017.
 
The trustees interviewed four candidates, selected from among 13 applicants for the board seat, at a special meeting Oct. 1. The other candidates who were interviewed were:
• Karin Brownlee, Olathe, independent contractor
• Michael Lally, Overland Park, vice president, Olsson Associates
• Steven Wolf, Prairie Village, CEO, Wolf Properties, LLC
 
The candidates each had five minutes to present themselves to the board, and the trustees had 15 minutes to ask each candidate questions.
 
Drummond will join the board at the next regularly scheduled meeting Oct. 17.
